Adam Peter Nielsen: Co-Founder and CTO at Novicell

Here is a glimpse into my professional playground. As co-founder and CTO of Novicell, I juggle innovation, strategy, and a dash of fun to lead us into the digital future.

Bridging tech and business

I deliver flexible digital roadmaps based on composable architecture and whatever tech is needed. The right roadmap, designed with dependencies and business outlook in mind, is the secret sauce to aligning tech and business agendas.

With a developer background and over 10,000 hours spent coding and another 10,000 hours in digital business consulting, I feel quite at home when it comes to translating complex technical details into strategic business outcomes. I don’t mind digging into architecture patterns, data models, specifications, or code -- but the fun really begins when I'm designing digital business models, challenging business cases, OPEX/CAPEX headscratching, funnel strategies, ROI evaluations, etc. And that includes explaining the lot in a boardroom in plain English or Danish.

How I help business and tech leaders

With over 20 years as a digital advisor and eCommerce architect, I bring a unique blend of strategic and technical expertise to the table. I work closely with both C-level stakeholders and developers, ensuring that digital strategies align with business goals and technological capabilities.

My work includes:

• Strategic sparring: Helping organizations identify their digital maturity and potential.
• Prioritizing development efforts: Ensuring that development efforts are focused on areas that will drive the most business value.
• Digitalization: Supporting the transition to modern, scalable IT landscapes that meet the ever-changing demands of eCommerce.

Defining standards and growing partnerships

Beside being CTO at Novicell, I lead the MACH Alliance Interoperability Standards Task Force. The MACH Alliance promotes a modern, composable approach to digital architecture, using Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless solutions. Our goal is to set interoperability standards that future-proof enterprise technology and propel digital experiences faster.

• Business-IT Mediation: Bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Concept Development: Structuring and digitalizing critical business concepts, channels, and integrations.
